Description
On my way home from work on October 20th, 2008, I drove past this pond between Columbia and Lake Avenues in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The water was exceptionally still, the streetlights perfectly highlighted the fall colors, and the moonlit sky glowed a deep indigo blue.

I nearly slammed on the brakes the moment I laid eyes on the scene.

It didn't matter what my plans were. The next thing on my schedule had just become "set up a tripod". Every time that shutter closed I giggled with excitement.

This is the first in a series of seasonal photos at the same location.

When 'ya got it...'ya REALLY got it!

And YOU really, REALLY got it!!!

    Beautiful shot.

How's about some "tech data" on the pic like shutter speed, F-stop, etc.?
We "old schoolers" like to know...lol.

I know, right?! A friend of mine just called me a few minutes ago and said, "Well I just drove by and it certainly doesn't look anything like the photo during the day." LOL Good. I've actually considered doing a photo of the same scene, same location for each of the four seasons, by night.

    Fay:
If you email me the resolution you to which you have your computer set, I'll make you a custom, hi-res background!

    Bob:
I'm not sure what browser or operating system you're using, but I'm assuming it's something along the lines of Internet Explorer and Windows. If you roll your mouse over each picture, in addition to seeing the left and right navigation arrows pop up, you should also see a tab labeled "INFO". Clicking that will open up a pane that details come of the photo's technical information as well as showing the histogram and caption.

Hope that helps, and thanks for being a regular visitor/commenter!

    Thanks everybody for your encouragement!

The leaves on the pond balanced by the stars in the sky--the light behind the trees--wow.

Nice shot.... Seems like trees are redder than usual longer this year.

OK, Boss...got that "drop down bar" thing working...great info.
Must be this (yet another) new computer system that finally showed it to me...lol

Like this one the best. Enjoyed the np article and want to see if it is cool with you to send it to Uncle John in MA? We just got back from there and I know he would enjoy it. I have stuff I am sending to him, this week-end.
Tim has been taking Fort Wayne pics since the boys and I FINALLY got him a digital camera. He has Lakeside rose garden pics in all four seasons of the year, among others.
    You guys should talk!
Wishing you well. Take care, Everett.
